Montney Shale News
Located west of Edmonton in a large area straddling the British Columbia and Alberta border, the Montney shale play is, according to a recent report by investment advisor Raymond James Ltd, “One of the largest economically viable resource plays in North America. Estimates for gas content in the Triassic-aged Montney formation in northeastern British Columbia put the resource size at about 50 trillion cubic feet .
