Roughnecking is a dirty job,even when everything is going well.It often gets worse when lack of concentration causes mishaps like the one shown in the video.It looks as though they are back-reaming a tight section of hole with a Top Drive while tripping out of the hole.Watching a weight indicator,listening to a companyman,operating the Top Drive and dozens of other things that a driller often has to deal with at the same time can be hectic. Mistakes can injure or kill crew members. In fairness to this driller,this happens to everyone once.I have this video posted on Youtube and I am amazed at all the hands that call this driller a worm! 4 men on the floor, knowing this driller has dozens of operations going thru his head at once and not a single hand standing out there on the floor pays any attention to if the driller has killed the pumps! Safety is a crew effort-everyone needs to watch everything.
