Oil Derrick Falls To Ground
Wrong Pins Removed...
While preparing a drilling rig derrick to be laid over for rig move,it appears that someone removed the wrong pins causing this derrick to crash to the ground.Injury & Death is the result.During the hurried pace of rig moves,often rig managers and drillers get distracted with all that is happening around them. When critical structural pins are removed Rig Managers need to be present to supervise the actions.How this could have happened is mind blowing-but it does happen.
